Join our elite 2026 South Texas wingshooting season. Private self-access fields, exclusive day-use grounds, and pure wild heritage hunts.

2026 Season Overview

We're excited to welcome you to the inaugural season of When Doves Fly South Texas Outfitters!

 

Our opening hunt begins the weekend of September 4. To provide the best hunting experience during the early season, our first two weekend hunts will be from 12:00PM (noon) until sunset.

 

Beginning September 14 hunts will run from 8:00AM until sunset.  Please review the hunt dates below and reserve your spot early.  Space is limited, and bookings are accepted on a first-come, first served basis.

Day of Hunt

To help you enjoy a safe successful hunt, please arrive prepared for the day.

Required

  • Texas Hunting Licenses with all required endorsements & certifications

  • Government-issued photo ID

  • Signed Waiver

  • Shotgun (plug)

  • Ammunition

  • Gun Chokes

Recommended

  • Game bag

  • Shell belt/vest or bag

  • Eye and hearing protection

  • Water and snacks

  • Hat and sunglasses

  • Sunscreen

  • Folding chair or bucket seat

  • Cooler for birds

  • Ice & Freezer bags

  • Trash Bags

For the Dog

  • Dog supplies

  • Dog bowl & Water

  • Bug Spray

  • Portable Shade

  • Scissors (game scissors for bird cleaning)

  • A Good Attitude

Hunt Rules

The safety of our guests is our highest priority. By booking a hunt with us, all participants agree to follow all rules.

  1. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a hunting reservation. Deposits are NOT refundable so please plan accordingly.

  2. Obey ALL game Laws: Anyone who shoots more birds than their legal limit, or who does not make a genuine effort to pick-up downed birds will be removed from the lease with no refund.

  3. NO intoxicated hunters will be allowed. Refrain from alcohol consumption until after your hunt is over and your gun is back in its case. This is for everyone's safety.

  4. Hunters are responsible for picking up their own trash. Empty shotgun shell hulls are considered trash. Make ALL reasonable effort to pick up spent shells. Trash left behind will result in hunters not being allowed to return to hunt on our lease.

  5. Drive on existing roads only. NO driving in fields. Speed limit is 5 MPH around fields. NO ATVs or 4-wheelers, or any other unregistered vehicles.

  6. Be courteous to other hunters when selecting your hunting area.

  7. After daily sign-in, there will be no leaving the lease and returning to hunt. Hunters must wear their paid bracelet at all times.

  8. After hunting, ALL hunters should check out at the gate to let us know you are leaving for the day.

  9. Do NOT leave chairs, canopies or other items behind when you leave the field for the day.

  10. There will be NO firing of rifles or handguns on the dove lease at any time.
